Mindful Gifts for Parental Wellbeing

The Brief

CheerfulNest is a parental wellbeing brand built around a simple but underserved idea: most new baby gifts focus entirely on the baby, leaving parents feeling overlooked. This business exists to change that, offering thoughtfully curated wellbeing hampers designed with the parent’s mental health at the centre.

The founder came to me at the very beginning, with a clear mission, a strong sense of values and no visual identity yet. The brief was to build a brand from scratch that felt warm and inclusive, one that could speak equally to new parents, corporate HR buyers and friends choosing a meaningful gift.

What the studio did

The elephant family became the heart of the identity: a parent arching protectively over a smaller calf, with a second adult alongside, a mark that communicates care and family without being gendered or exclusive. I set it against a sage green palette with warm cream tones, keeping the feel calm and grounded rather than the sugary pastel common in the baby gifting category. The wordmark uses a clean sans-serif to balance the softness of the illustration.

I extended the system across gift boxes, tissue paper, product labels, hang tags, tote bags, a website mock-up and a full wellbeing guide designed to form as a central piece of the hampers.
