Wild Petals

2023 The Brief Association Competition Entry

Anarchy in a Bouquet

The Brief

Wild Petals is a concept for a London-based floristry brand with a punky, rebellious identity. This was a competition entry rather than a client project, but the brief was just as specific: build a brand for a family-run florist that refuses to look like any other florist. No soft pastels, no gentle script logos, no safe arrangements.

The brand needed to feel like a movement rather than a shop, rooted in the idea that flowers should be unruly, vibrant and unapologetically expressive. The creative challenge was to take something inherently delicate and make it feel genuinely bold without it tipping into costume.

What the studio did

The logo pairs a handwritten Wild above a chunky mixed-case Petals on a black band, creating a mark that feels irreverent and graphic at once. I built the identity around hot pink and yellow with black as a grounding contrast, using loose brushstroke textures and a flower-meets-explosion mark that runs as a secondary element. The bouquet wrapping uses a full-coverage typographic print.

I extended the system across a van livery, carry bags, stickers, wall posters and an Instagram template grid, with the tagline Anarchy in a Bouquet woven through every touchpoint as the brand’s defining attitude.
